Grain Free Chocolate Donuts

  • 1 cup + 2 tbsp almond flour
  • 1/4 cup arrowroot flour
  • 1 tbsp coconut flour
  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder
  • 6 tbsp sugar
  • 1/2 tsp sea salt
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 2 organic eggs
  • 1/2 cup grapeseed or organic canola oil
  • 1/2 cup organic almond milk
  • 2 tbsp applesauce
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp apple cider vinegar


  1. Preheat donut maker or if preheat oven to 350 degrees,

  2. Combine the first seven dry ingredients in a medium mixing bowl.

  3. Combine the eggs, oil, almond milk applesauce and vanilla in a large mixing bowl. Mix well.

  4. Slowly add the dry ingredients into the wet, mixing  well until all ingredients are well blended.

  5. Add the vinegar last, mixing to combine with the batter.

  6. Pour batter 3/4 full into greased preheated mini donut maker.  Bake 5 to 6 minutes until thoroughly cooked through.  If using a regular size donut pan in the oven, fill greased molds 3/4 full and bake 12 to 15 minutes or until slightly brown around the edges.  Cool on a wire rack before glazing or rolling in sugar.
